Jason Atherton’s Social Company and executive sommelier, Laure Patry, will tomorrow open the doors of Social Wine and Tapas on James Street in Marylebone, London. The new bar and restaurant will offer quality, rare and fine wines at good prices alongside a tapas and snacks menu, created by head chef Frankie Van Loo, who joins the Wine and Tapas team from Social Eating House. The restaurant will also have an on-site shop, should you want to take a new discovery from the bar home with you.



Although this is now London’s sixth Social restaurant, there’s a difference to Wine and Tapas; all serving staff will be sommeliers, offering each diner a personable and informed experience and letting the carefully chosen wines take centre stage. We spoke to the team to get a sneak preview of the menu; expect the likes of squid with squid ink aioli and steak, followed by chocolate tart and creme Catalan.
