250g soft cream cheese
16 slices bread, crusts removed
80g capers
350g thinly sliced smoked salmon
1 lemon, juiced
black pepper

Method

  1. Spread the cream cheese onto half the slices of bread. Sprinkle with the capers. Next, arrange the smoked salmon on 8 of the bread slices and brush with lemon juice. Pepper generously. Top with the other 8 slices and cut into fingers or quarters to serve.
