Banana, mango & oat smoothie

You can change the fruit here – peach, apricot and passionfruit are all good – but keep the banana for body.

From the grocer

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
450g plain yoghurt
300ml low-fat milk, or half milk/half fruit juice
3 tablespoons rolled oats
2 tablespoons runny honey

From the greengrocer

Quantity Ingredient
1 ripe mango
2 ripe bananas
1 lime, juiced
10 ice cubes

Method

  1. Peel the mango and remove all the flesh, cutting it away from around the stone. Put the flesh into a blender with all the other ingredients. Hold the blender lid on as tightly as you can and blend on a low–medium speed at first to prevent the lid from whizzing off. Turn the speed up and blend until completely smooth. Taste: you may want to add a little more honey or lime juice. Serve immediately.
