I love this rice, it’s sensual and such good food. Similar to basmati, it is slightly stickier. It would be delicious with curry, or you could just serve it with some vegetables and soy sauce for a delicious dish in its own right.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 litre water, boiling
350g thai jasmine rice
1/2 lime, juiced

Method

  1. Boil the water in a large pan and add the rice. Stir well so the grains do not stick.
  2. Cook for 10 minutes until the rice is soft, then drain it through a colander.
  3. Tip the rice into a serving bowl and squeeze over the lime juice.

Serving suggestions:

  • Serve with oriental dishes, such as prawn and coconut stir-fry.
