I regularly make this for friends, who’ve named it the T Club. In my eyes it’s the king of the toasted sandwiches. Don’t worry if you’re missing some of the ingredients, just put in what you have or want.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 slices bread
1 teaspoon butter
2 teaspoons mayonnaise
1 teaspoon sweet chilli sauce
1-2 rashers bacon, cooked and cold
3-4 slices chicken, cold
2 slices ham
2 slices cheese
2 slices avocado
2 cocktail sticks

Method

  1. Toast the bread. Meanwhile, get your ingredients ready.
  2. Spread the toast with the butter, mayo and sweet chilli sauce.
  3. Then pile up your cold bacon if you have it and/or the chicken. Place your ham, cheese and avocado slices over the top.
  4. Sandwich the whole lot together with the other slice of toast and carefully cut diagonally in half.
  5. Secure each half together using a cocktail stick.

Optional extras:

  • Add or remove what you like. Lettuce leaves are lovely in a toasty. Try adding 1/2 teaspoon of pesto. You could also turn this into a wrap by placing all the ingredients in a tortilla.

Serving suggestions:

  • Eat with a load of napkins nearby, as you’re guaranteed to spill.

Leftovers:

  • Not worth keeping, so just eat it.
