Toasted sandwiches are the best, most wonderful food when you’ve had a night out. Forget the calories, just add whatever you can find to make a gorgeous, fat, hot sandwich. My favourite ingredient in a toasty is cheese. I am assuming that you won’t have a toasted sandwich maker. It might seem daft to write a recipe for a toasted sandwich, but I always want ideas for juicy mouth-watering fillings.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 slices bread
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon mayonnaise
3 slices ham
3 slices cheddar cheese

Method

  1. Place the bread slices in your toaster and toast for 2 minutes until brown.
  2. Remove from the toaster and spread with the butter and mayo.
  3. Add the slices of ham and cheese.
  4. Then sandwich the bread slices together.

Optional extras:

  • You could add some lovely sliced tomatoes or even some lettuce leaves.

Serving suggestions:

  • Eat with a dollop of ketchup on the side.
