This might sound like a strange combination, but I used to adore banana toasties when I was a little girl, just adored them. I sometimes have them now and again, but it’s got to be a great one after the pub. It hits both sweet and savoury cravings, killing two birds with one stone.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 slices bread
1 banana
1 teaspoon butter
1 teaspoon sugar

Method

  1. Toast your bread.
  2. Slice up the banana.
  3. Butter the toast and then pile the banana onto one slice.
  4. Sprinkle with the sugar and then sandwich them both together.

Optional extras:

  • You could add a teaspoon of chocolate spread here, which would be amazing. Brown sugar would work very well too.

Serving suggestions:

  • Eat with a lovely cuppa.
