Smoothies are so great for breakfast, and with the recipes here feel free to add any soft fruit you like. Berries work wonderfully, as do bananas, raisins, dried fruit, yoghurts, milk, so go for it and play around.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 banana, sliced
2 tablespoons blueberries
600ml milk
1 tablespoon strawberries
or 1 tablespoon raspberries
2 tablespoons oats
or 2 tablespoons muesli

Method

  1. Bung all the ingredients into a jug where you can whizz them together using a hand held blender.
  2. Zap it all until all the fruit is crushed and combined with the milk, which usually takes just under 1 minute.
  3. Pour into a large glass and enjoy.

Leftovers:

  • Drink it straight away as it won’t keep for long – your delicious smoothie will soon turn from light pink to nasty brown.
