Garlic chilli prawns

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1kg raw prawns
2 garlic bulbs
125ml olive oil
4 long red chillies, sliced
sea salt
freshly cracked black pepper
2 handfuls flat-leaf parsley, chopped
lemon wedges, to serve

Method

  1. Peel and devein the prawns, leaving the tails on. Separate the garlic cloves, then peel and chop them.
  2. Heat the olive oil in a frying pan. Cook the garlic and chilli over low heat until soft but not browned, about 5 minutes. Add the prawns, season with sea salt and black pepper and cook for 2 minutes on each side, or until they just turn white.
  3. Stir the chopped parsley into the prawns. Serve immediately, with lemon wedges and a green salad.
