Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 large apple
or 2 small apples
4 tablespoons maple syrup
butter
6 slices multigrain bread
3 small goat’s cheeses such as rocamadour
salt
pepper

Method

  1. Cut the apple(s) into thin wedges (eight each for the small ones, 16 for 1 large one). Lay them on a sheet of baking parchment and brush with 2 tablespoons of maple syrup. Place on a baking tray and put under the grill for 5 to 10 minutes. In the meantime, butter each slice of bread. Lay the cooked apple wedges on the slices of bread. Cut the cheeses in half and place a piece on each slice. Put back under the grill for 5 to 10 minutes. Drizzle with the remaining maple syrup, and season with salt and pepper before serving. best in spring and autumn
