Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/2 onion, roughly chopped
1 teaspoon crushed dried red chilli
1 teaspoon maldive fish or fish sauce
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 lime, juiced
100g grated fresh coconut

Method

  1. Place the onion, chilli, Maldive fish or fish sauce, salt and lime juice in a blender, and blitz until you have a smooth paste.
  2. Mix the paste with the grated coconut until it is completely incorporated, then taste and season with more lime juice or salt as needed.
