Ingredients

200g basmati rice, well rinsed

Method

  1. Place the rice and 360ml water in a saucepan with a tight-fitting lid and bring the water to the boil. Stir, then cover immediately and reduce the heat to its lowest setting.
  2. Cook without removing the lid for 15 minutes. The rice should have absorbed all the water.
  3. Fluff it through with a fork and leave to steam, uncovered, for 5 minutes before serving.
