Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1/2 packet agar-agar powder
3 litres boiling water
2 cans coconut milk and 1 can cold water or 6 cups all-purpose coconut milk
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sugar, or more to taste
1 can palm seeds
1 can lotus seeds

Method

  1. Make agar-agar jelly by dissolving the agar-agar powder in the boiling water. Pour into a flat tray to a depth of 5 cm and allow to cool and set.
  2. Bring the coconut milk and cold water to the boil with salt and sugar to taste. Allow to cool.
  3. Cut the agar-agar jelly into matchstick strips and put these into a serving bowl. Add the palm seeds, drained, and the lotus seeds with half the syrup from the can. Mix in the coconut milk and serve.
