Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient

You will need:

Quantity Ingredient
1 empty nut butter plastic jar
bird seed
wire or string

Method

  1. Cut a hole in the side of the jar, large enough to allow a free flow of seeds, but not so big they will spill out on the ground in the slightest puff of wind, or get wet if it rains.
  2. Make a few very small holes in the base of the jar to allow any rainwater to drain away. Fill with birdseed, hang it from a tree or your washing line, using wire or strong string, and watch the birds enjoy your creation.

Re-use reduce recycle

  • There are lots of different ways that you can upcycle your jars. Our favourite is to create this handy bird feeder. Not only do you get to enjoy your favourite nut butter, but the birds get a tasty meal too.
