Hot white chocolate with vanilla

A wonderful winter warmer for the seriously sweet-toothed. Serve with spiced Christmas biscuits or just enjoy on its own.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
150ml whipping cream
300ml milk
pinch ground nutmeg
1/2 vanilla pod, seeds only
150g white chocolate

Method

  1. Place the cream, milk, nutmeg and vanilla seeds (you can also add the pod but remove it before adding the cream to the chocoate) in a saucepan and bring to a bare simmer.
  2. Place the chocolate in a mixing bowl and pour over the hot cream. Whisk together until the chocolate has melted.
  3. Serve warm in tall glass mugs.
