Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 tablespoon olive oil
salt and freshly ground black pepper
250g instant couscous
250ml boiling water or stock
butter

Method

  1. Place couscous in a heatproof bowl. Add the oil, salt and pepper. Pour the boiling water or stock over. Stir and cover quickly with plastic wrap. Allow to stand for at least 10 minutes. Add the butter to the couscous and stir with a fork to break up the grains and mix the butter through. Serve immediately.
