Homage to Coca Tea. If you have coca leaves, place about 6 leaves per person in a cup with boiling water and brew for 3 minutes, then serve. If not, here’s an alternative version.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2g linden or lime-leaf tea
2g boldo leaves, crumbled
or 1g dried bay leaves, crumbled
2g sencha tea (whole-leaf green tea)
1/2 tablespoon maca powder
honey, (optional), to serve

Method

  1. Put 1 litre of water in a saucepan and bring to the boil over a high heat. Add all the leaves and the maca powder to the water, reduce the heat to low and simmer for 5 minutes. Strain and serve hot, with honey to sweeten, if desired.
