Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1kg peas
salt
a sprig mint
a little sugar
2 teaspoons butter

Method

  1. Shell the peas. Have sufficient boiling, salted water to cover the peas. Add the peas, mint and sugar. Simmer gently until soft for 6–8 minutes. Drain well. Reheat with butter and serve in a hot vegetable dish.

Note:

  • if the peas must be shelled some time before cooking, put them in a bowl and cover them closely with washed pea pods.
