Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
3 cooking apples, peeled, cored and sliced
2 tablespoons water
2 tablespoons sugar
1 strip lemon peel
2 tablespoons horseradish, grated

Method

  1. Put apples into a heavy saucepan with water, sugar and lemon zest. Cover and cook gently to a pulp. Cool, remove lemon peel and mash apples. Stir in horseradish.
