Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
220g sugar
60ml golden syrup
60ml water
60ml butter, melted
3 eggs, well beaten
100g pecan halves
1 x 23 cm shell * rich shortcrust pastry [rid:4692], unbaked

Method

  1. Mix together sugar, golden syrup, water and melted butter. Add eggs and pecans and stir well. Pour into pastry shell.
  2. Bake in a preheated 200°C oven for 10 minutes, then reduce heat to a moderate 180°C and continue baking for about 30 minutes. Serve warm or cold.
