4 cooking apples
maple syrup

Method

  1. Prepare apples by peeling top halves and coring. Place apples in shallow baking dish and fill centres with maple syrup. Add water to cover bottom of dish.
  2. Bake in preheated moderate oven for 30–40 minutes or until apples are tender. Spoon pan juices over apples several times during cooking.
