Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 litre vanilla ice cream, preferably homemade
120g hazelnuts, toasted and chopped
1 tablespoon coffee liqueur

Method

  1. Soften frozen ice cream to a partially frozen state and fold chopped hazelnuts through. Stir in coffee liqueur and refreeze.

Variations

  • Chocolate hazelnut ice cream: Substitute chocolate ice cream for vanilla ice cream and proceed as for hazelnut ice cream.

    Hazelnut orange ice cream: Use recipe for hazelnut ice cream, substituting 1 tablespoon curaçao and 1 tablespoon chopped glacé orange peel for coffee liqueur.
