This makes a lovely dessert or accompaniment to curry or chicken dishes, without the icing sugar.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
60g butter
4 firm ripe bananas, halved lengthways
4 tablespoons icing sugar

Method

  1. Melt butter in a frying pan. Add bananas and cook over moderate heat for 5 minutes, turning once. Remove to a heated dish and spoon butter from pan over them. Sift icing sugar on top.
