Ingredients

500g new potatoes
salt

Method

  1. Wash the potatoes well. If the skins are not very tender and new, remove them by scraping them off with a small knife.
  2. Place the potatoes in a pan of boiling salted water and boil gently until tender, about 10–15 minutes. They are cooked when a cutlery knife inserted into the centre of the potato passes through easily. Drain the potatoes in a colander.
