Green juice is all the rage amongst dieters and health freaks. Now that the current advice is to eat ‘7 a day’ (5 vegetables and 2 fruit), you can bust through about half of that in this one green smoothie.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
100g seedless green grapes
100g baby spinach, any big stems removed
1/2 cucumber, peeled
1/2 avocado, peeled and stoned
100g blueberries, plus extra to garnish
a few sprigs parsley
large pinch alfalfa sprouts
1/2 lemon, juiced
200ml water
1 teaspoon spirulina powder

Method

  1. Whizz all the ingredients together, except any garnishes, in a powerful blender such as a Vitamix.
