Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
160g unsalted butter, softened
130g icing sugar
2 eggs
330g plain flour
10g baking powder
130g hazelnuts, chopped

Method

  1. Making the biscuit dough

    Cream the butter and icing sugar in a mixing bowl until pale. Add the eggs, then sift in the flour and baking powder. Incorporate the hazelnuts, then set the mixture aside in the refrigerator for 1 hour.
  2. Baking the biscuits

    Preheat the oven to 190ºC. When the dough is firm enough, roll it out into a large rectangular shape about 5 mm thick, using your hands to even up the sides. Use a sharp knife to slice the dough into individual biscuits. Arrange the biscuits on baking trays lined with baking paper and bake for about 12 minutes.
