Combine four kids and their hectic schedules with my schedule and well, I admit it, I used to sometimes forget to eat and then wondered why I felt so sluggish during the day. So, a few years ago, I decided to create some uplifting treats in my kitchen that I could pack with me on those forgetful days. Most of them are jam-packed with one or two different superfoods, which, in my book, equates to a treasure trove of everything and anything good for my body.
So, if you’ve had an unhealthy lunch, skipped breakfast or have an indulgent dinner planned, these snacks, treats, juices and smoothies are just the thing to pick you up when your energy levels are flagging or you simply need to inject some concentrated goodness into your day.
