1/2 portion Basic bolognese
puff pastry

Method

  1. To make the mince beefier and more savoury, add some leftover gravy, meat juices or braising liquid from a beef stew otherwise a teaspoon of Bovril or Marmite dissolved in 2 tablespoon boiling water should do the trick.
  2. Put the mince mixture into a pie dish and top with a puff pastry lid. Bake for 30–35 minutes in a moderately hot oven (190°C).
