Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
85g butter
85g caster sugar
40g corn syrup
25ml milk
50g black sesame seeds
50g white sesame seeds

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 160°C and line a baking tray with baking paper.
  2. Combine the butter, sugar, corn syrup and milk in a small saucepan. Warm over low heat, stirring once or twice, until the sugar has completely dissolved. Remove from the heat and stir in the sesame seeds. Cool in the refrigerator for about 1 hour, or until firm.
  3. Roll the mixture into small balls, press slightly and place on the baking tray. Bake for 10 minutes, or until golden brown. Allow to harden and cool on the tray, then carefully remove with a spatula.
  4. Place in an airtight container, with sheets of baking paper between each layer. Store in the freezer to protect against humidity and use within a day.
