This is a tasty and simple dessert that takes very little time and is a perfect piece of guilt-free indulgence.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
200g mixed berries
3 tablespoons porridge oats
1 tablespoon ground flax seeds
1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon

Method

  1. Preheat the grill on its highest setting.
  2. Place the berries and 1 tablespoon of water in a saucepan and set over a high heat; the maximum the hottest ring will go on. Stew the berries until they start to burst and, before long, a thicker jam-like texture will form. Place in an oven– and flameproof serving bowl.
  3. Sprinkle the oats, ground flax and cinnamon evenly over the top, then place the bowl under the grill for a few minutes until the oaty topping begins to turn golden.

  • Good source of beta glucan, flavonoids and omega 3 fatty acids.
