I am a bit of a houmous addict, I have to be honest. I like to jazz it up a little, too. Adding herbs brings another dimension to this already tasty dip.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
400g canned chickpeas, drained and rinsed
1 large garlic clove, finely chopped
1/2 lemon, juiced
1 tablespoon tahini
a small bunch basil, leaves roughly chopped, plus more to serve (optional)
a small bunch parsley, leaves roughly chopped
2-3 tablespoons olive oil

Method

  1. Place all the ingredients into a blender or food processor and process into a smooth dip.
  2. Sprinkle with a few tiny basil leaves, if you like, then serve.
