Spicy fried cauliflower

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 tablespoons ghee or oil
1 teaspoon black mustard seeds
1/2 teaspoon panch phora
1 large garlic clove, crushed
3 teaspoons fresh ginger, finely grated
1/2 teaspoon ground turmeric
1 small head cauliflower, broken into florets
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon Garam masala

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a saucepan over low heat. Add the mustard seeds and cook until they start to pop. Add the panch phora, garlic and ginger and stir-fry until golden. Add the turmeric, salt, cauliflower and 60 ml water and cook for 5 minutes, or until the cauliflower is tender. Sprinkle with the garam masala and serve with rice or chapatis.
