Stir-fried prawns with vegetables

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
1 tablespoon oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
500g raw prawns, peeled and deveined
230g fresh bean sprouts, trimmed
or 150g cabbage, shredded
2 teaspoons light soy sauce, (optional)

Method

  1. Heat the oil in a wok or large heavy-based frying pan over high heat. Add the onion and cook for a few seconds, then add the prawns and bean sprouts and stir-fry for 3 minutes, or until the prawns change colour. Season with salt, freshly ground black pepper and soy sauce, to taste. Serve immediately.
