This dish is more an idea for the lover of smoked fish rather than a recipe, as none of the ingredients need to be cooked. Just remember that for this to work, you must buy good-quality fish.

Method

  1. To make a display for one (multiply for a number of guests), arrange one slice each of four of the following smoked fish – trout, salmon, eel, sturgeon, tuna or swordfish – on a plate. Serve with 1 tablespoon creamed horseradish, half a lemon and plenty of brown bread or grissini.
