This plain avocado mash is a staple in the Chilean part of our family, where it’s served with sandwiches for evening tea, as well as at dinner with a steak and greens.

Ingredients

Method

  1. Halve a perfectly ripe avocado and remove the stone. Scoop out the flesh into a bowl and mash it with a fork. Season with a bit of sea salt, a few drops of fresh lemon juice and a touch of corn oil or vegetable oil. Serve freshly made as a side to pretty much anything.
