We all already love cheese on toast but once you start eating this version, it becomes very hard to revert back to the simpler one. Add as much chilli as you want or, if you are really nervous, leave it out completely – it is still the best cheese on toast around.

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
100-120g cheddar cheese, or your preferred cheese, grated
10g onion, finely chopped
1/2 small tomato, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon finely sliced green chillies
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh coriander
2 slices bread

Method

  1. Preheat the oven to 200°C. Mix together all the ingredients except the bread. Pile the mixture evenly on top of the bread and bake in the oven for a couple of minutes until crisp and browning on the sides. Serve hot.
